Today marks a milestone that is bigger than any of us imagined when this community began.
On this day, August 21st, ten years ago in 2015, GWES was created. What started as a rebelious act of defiance against the status quo of the online EAS community has grown into something far greater. A place where weather and emergency alerting has brought together people from every possible walk of life.
For 10 years, GWES has always been more than just a server or facebook group. It’s been a community where friendships are built, knowledge is shared, and people from across the world come together around a shared passion of weather and the alerting systems that keep people of all kinds safe.
None of this would have ever been possible without all of you.
Every conversation, every laugh together, every time we tracked a weather event or emergency together, has shaped this community into what it is today.
Wherever life takes you, we will always be your home for everything EAS, weather, and the friendships that make this community truly unforgettable, since 2015.
